Chairman

Dr. A. K. Natesan is a visionary in the realm of Higher Education Administration. He held the post of the District Governor of Rotary District-2982 for the year 2020 – 21. He is the Hon. Chairman of Excel Group Institutions and The Kavery Educational Institutions. He is the Secretary of ‘the Association of Managements of Coimbatore Anna University-Affiliated Colleges’ as well. He is also the President of the Tamil Nadu Ball Badminton Association (TNBBA) from 2016 onwards. In addition he is also the Chairman of Komarapalayam Rotary Trust that manages the Rotary Community Hall & the Rotary Crematorium.

Dr. Natesan has founded and promotes four Engineering Colleges, a Business School, a College of Architecture & Planning, in addition to ITIs, Polytechnic Colleges, B.Ed./M.Ed. Colleges, Commerce and Science Colleges,  College of Pharmacy, Siddha and Homoeopathy Colleges, and Colleges of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Naturopathy: in short, all what it takes to groom a toddler at Excel Public School (EPS) at the Pre-Kindergarten level to a PhD holder in any stream, who is empowered to be employed in any part of the world. It is his single achievement that he heads over 1000 teaching and non-teaching staff for about 13,000 students in the two campuses of Excel Group Institutions at Komarapalayam and The Kavery Educational Institutions at Mechery.

Being a Society-conscious Professor, he started Schools for Child Labour Eradication with the approval of the Tamil Nadu Government.  He has served in the Rotary Club in the roles of Club President, Assistant Governor, District Trainer, District Chairs and presently the District Chairman–Literacy. He was unanimously elected as the District Governor for the year 2019-20 for Rotary International District-2982.

Dr. A. K. Natesan took his Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Financial Management from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and did his MBA at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy (formerly REC).  He has over 34 years of experience in Higher Education. Dr. A. K. Natesan has been awarded with many meritorious awards and Titles by Institutions and Professional Bodies. He was awarded twice by Tamil Nadu Government as the state Best NSS Programme Officer.

Dr. A. K. Natesan’s wife, Mrs. N. Parvathy, is the Managing Trustee of Sri Rengaswamy Educational Trust, and their only son Dr. N. Mathan Karthick M.B.B.S., M.H.Sc. (Diabetology), MISTE, is the Vice Chairman of Excel Group Institutions and the Daughter-in-law, Mrs. M. Kaviarasi, M.Com, MBA, shoulders the responsibility as the Correspondent and the Director of EPS bringing up the EGIs from the grass-root level and the granddaughters Baby Eshna and Baby Eshani are making the family bubble with happiness.

Dr. A. K. Natesan has travelled across the world and visited many universities in the USA, Argentina, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the UAE, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, etc. The entire family of Dr. A. K. Natesan holds a Paul Harris Family (PHF) fellow membership and he has contributed over USD 28,000 and he is a Major Donor at Level II.
